It is an appealing aromatic and flavor combination of blueberry pie, Chelan cherries, thyme, lavender and squid ink. The wine feels fresh and brisk, with enlivening acidity and plush tannins.”
94 Points — DeLille 2020 Red Willow Malbec Yakima Valley“While blackcap raspberry and shiitake mushroom jerky aromas captured my attention, a tiny toasted rye bread note on the nose of this wine sealed the deal. Its blackberry-orange compote, juniper berry and peppery sage flavors sliding all over my juiced-up palate was merely a bonus.”

Wave one hits with jasmine and those delightful Hawaiian puakenikeni flowers. Wave two includes coconut, chamomile and fresh-cut grass. The wine’s mouthfeel is crisp and brisk, with flavors like grapefruit and lemon curd spread on stroopwafels.”

It’s medium bodied with fine-grained tannins.”

90 Points — DeLille 2020 Shaw Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Red Mountain)“This is my favorite Shaw performance since Robert did “Jaws.” Bright red currant and strawberry aromas pair nicely with notes of lemon and vanilla custard. Flavor-wise, this wine is a bowl of mixed red berries accompanied by orange blossoms and cedar. Firm tannins border on grippiness.”
90 Points — DeLille 2020 StoneTree Vineyard Mourvèdre (Wahluke Slope)“As if blackberry and ginger crème brûlée aromas weren’t enough, this wine conveys a dried herb and sea grass note that’s like walking through sand dunes to access the beach. Dominant blackberry and dark plum flavors are joined by wisps of espresso and chocolate. The wine has velvety tannins and a rich mouthfeel.”
