“This colossus of Yakima Valley roads might be one of the seven wonders of the Merlot world. It is an appealing aromatic and flavor combination of blueberry pie, Chelan cherries, thyme, lavender and squid ink. The wine feels fresh and brisk, with enlivening acidity and plush tannins.”
“While blackcap raspberry and shiitake mushroom jerky aromas captured my attention, a tiny toasted rye bread note on the nose of this wine sealed the deal. Its blackberry-orange compote, juniper berry and peppery sage flavors sliding all over my juiced-up palate was merely a bonus.”

“This wine’s gorgeous floral aromas steal the show. Wave one hits with jasmine and those delightful Hawaiian puakenikeni flowers. Wave two includes coconut, chamomile and fresh-cut grass. The wine’s mouthfeel is crisp and brisk, with flavors like grapefruit and lemon curd spread on stroopwafels.”
“This sleek blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc conjures blueberry, black olive and oven-roasted tri-tip aromas, followed by blackberry, saline, dark chocolate and balsa flavors. The wine’s silky tannins, elevated acidity and restrained alcohol are appreciated.”

“Decant if you open this glorious beast anytime soon – tannins are at peak grip. Blackcurrants, orange peel, tobacco and cedar aromas announce the wine’s presence. Blackberry preserves on a blueberry scone deep inside a chest of cedar drawers describe the flavors. Enjoy 2024-2039.”

“You expect a lot from Red Willow Vineyard fruit, and this Syrah does not disappoint. Floral notes like Stargazer lilies and honeysuckle blend with blackberries, pepper and cedar. Flavors of boysenberries, coriander and brown sugar float on a smooth, round mouthfeel. It’s medium bodied with fine-grained tannins.”
“This wine’s aromas took me back to a campfire cookout. Whiffs of black cherry cobbler, black coffee and bacon fat come with traces of balsa and wet stones. Flavors recall dark plum, dark chocolate and a fresh-whittled stick of white walnut. Enjoy this wine under the stars.”
“This well-structured Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah blend begins with aromas of black cherries, sweet basil and a chalk dust. Dark plums and blueberries coat the palate while orange marmalade, oats and almond notes float in the background.”
“Minuit is the perfect name for this dark-as-midnight beauty. Blackberry aromas fill the air, punctuated by bursts of cedar and Kentuckys Best Orange pipe tobacco. Candied orange slice and blackcap raspberry flavors navigate a leathery texture. Tannins are formidable at the moment.”
“Blackberry and marzipan aromas fail to prepare you for the tannic beast lurking behind the door. Despite a nice bit of acidity, a chewy mouthfeel makes you earn this wine’s blueberry, red apple, vanilla, wood spice and espresso flavors. This wine may just outlive Bitcoin. Enjoy 2024-2039.”
“This M-G-S blend hits all the right Rhône buttons, with aromas and flavors of blackberries, boysenberries, white pepper, violets and roasted pork shoulder. Sturdy tannins provide a nice frame for the fruit, while the wine’s elevated acidity keeps things lively.”
“This is my favorite Shaw performance since Robert did “Jaws.” Bright red currant and strawberry aromas pair nicely with notes of lemon and vanilla custard. Flavor-wise, this wine is a bowl of mixed red berries accompanied by orange blossoms and cedar. Firm tannins border on grippiness.”
“As if blackberry and ginger crème brûlée aromas weren’t enough, this wine conveys a dried herb and sea grass note that’s like walking through sand dunes to access the beach. Dominant blackberry and dark plum flavors are joined by wisps of espresso and chocolate. The wine has velvety tannins and a rich mouthfeel.”
