The 2022 Four Flags showcases the power and restraint that Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is known for, emphasized by the extra hang time granted by the ideal growing conditions of the vintage. Whiffs of Mountain huckleberry, black plum, maraschino cherry, and graphite quickly awaken the olfactory. The palate is dense yet inviting, with flavors of graham cracker, chocolate truffle, and anise well-matched by chewy tannins.

Quite primary, the 2022 Four Flags Cabernet Sauvignon is very fresh with heavy red-fruited, high tones. It features serious hints of oak, spice, and dusty bitter dark chocolate. The wine is intricate and round. It is beautifully complex and vibrant. Nicely done!

Originally made for our Wine Club as a blending trial of specific plots, this wine showcases the nuances of each vineyard in a seamless blend. Four Flags is a harmonious & complex representation of the incomparable terroir of Red Mountain & a tribute to the winery’s steadfast commitment to this respected viticultural area.

Winemaking
Stainless steel fermented, 14-16 days on skins. Barrel aged 20 months in French oak (93% new). Bottle aged 10 months prior to release
