Yakima Valley AVA

The 2022 Reserve Red Blend is a selection of Merlot from Boushey (47%), Harrison Hill (24%), and Dubrul Vineyard (29%)a winemaker’s dream match. The nose is highly perfumed, with notes of Bing Cherry, dried cranberry, shitake mushroom, and molasses that give way to a seamless, elegant palate. The tannins are velvety and divine. Flavors of a bright, fresh fruit medley are balanced beautifully by savory undertones of bay leaf, cracked black pepper, and lavender. This wine is quaffable but has layers of complexity, reminding us again that Washington State Merlot can be world-classDrink now or cellar 15+ years.

The 2022 Reserve Red Blend opens with an inviting blend of gravel dust and graphite, giving way to black currants and a hint of bergamot. Cool-toned and racy in style, it presents a wave of ripe blueberry and saline mineral tones as fine tannins slowly amass toward the close. It finishes firm with dramatic length and balanced structure, leaving a subtle citrus twang.
