2022 Sagemoor Vineyards® Riesling
White Bluffs AVA
The White Bluffs AVA experienced cooler-than-average growing conditions for much of the season, allowing for our Riesling grapes to be picked at very moderate sugar levels, yet with full flavor. Bosc pear, lychee, Meyer lemon and wet stone are showcased initially on the nose. A touch of residual sugar is just enough to balance out the bustling acidity and create a more full-bodied mouthfeel, full of honeysuckle, dried apricot and jasmine. There is a freshness and liveliness to this wine that makes it very easy to enjoy on its own but will pair easily with a variety of seafood dishes.

Coming from the White Bluffs AVA, this 2022 Riesling was sourced from the Bacchus and Dionysus Vineyards. This shows a sterling tension with green apple, kumquat and petrol notes on the palate. Nicely textured, this is really great wine to enjoy on a hot summer day. Drink 2023-2029

Behind the Wine
2022 Sagemoor Vineyards® Riesling
Riesling, one of the founding varietals of Washington State, benefits from the warm days and cool nights of the Columbia Valley, producing wines of generous fruit flavors, well balanced by brisk acidity. The higher elevation of the White Bluffs allows for a longer growing season, adding hang time complexity to the fruit from the Gamache (52%) and Dionysus (48%) Vineyards.
