The 2023 Four Flags Cabernet Sauvignon shows beautiful intensity and purity upon release. This wine is a classic example of Red Mountain Cabernet, with aromas of marionberry, cassis, dried strawberry, and a touch of scorched earth. The tannins are bold, finding their way to all parts of the palate, and lead into a smooth, elegant finish. A toasty oak spice cradles the nuanced flavors of mocha, fresh rosemary, burnt orange peel, and fig. This is a serious wine that is still very approachable in its youth, and can be trusted to develop in the cellar as long as you can wait.

When DeLille first came up with this wine, the idea was an elevation of their famed D2, with fruit from some of the most choice Red Mountain vineyards like Grand Ciel, Upchurch, Klipsun and Ciel du Cheval. 100% Red Mountain Cabernet. It's inky and dark; this wine delivers quintessential Red Mountain aromatics, with dark fruits, violets, and the classic basalt note from Red Mountain. The palate shows dark fruits, desert scrub and exotic tea leaves.
