This elegant rendition of our estate 2023 Grand Ciel Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a vibrant nose of marionberry, strawberry leaf, olive tapenade, and a hint of capsicum. The chocolatey palate is luscious, with notes of baking spice, cranberry sauce and orange peel. The mouthfeel is a balanced combination of richness and freshness, making it easy to enjoy in its youth. The classic dusty Red Mountain tannins are finely woven amongst the concentrated fruit flavors and delicate barrel spice, sturdy enough to allow this beauty to age 15+ years.

The 2023 ‘Grand Ciel’ Cabernet Sauvignon comes off refined and soft on the mouth. Black tea and exotic spices mark the nose alongside heady dark fruits and black rose petals. The palate is plush with amazing texture and verve. This is displaying heady blackberry and dark currant flavors alongside coffee grounds and sagebrush notes with stony minerals on the palate. 2023 Grand Ciel Cabernet Sauvignon
Grand Ciel Cabernet is a single vineyard, single varietal and single clone Cabernet from our estate vineyard on Red Mountain. Every detail of our vineyard has been designed to produce the highest quality fruit from the unique climate and soil of this prestigious AVA known for ripe and structured Cabernet. Our rigorous selection process only permits a small portion of grapes to become part of Grand Ciel wines.
Winemaking
Single Clone Cabernet (191) from DeLille Cellar's Estate Vineyard on Red Mountain. Stainless steel fermented, 14-16 days on skins. Barrel aged 20 months in French oak (100% new). Bottle aged 15 months prior to release.
