2023 Harrison Hill Red Blend
Snipes Mountain AVA
Our 2023 Harrison Hill shows its poise and elegance instantly with a perfume that can only be attributed to this special site. The initial bouquet of tobacco leaf, spiced cranberry sauce, cherry cola, and ripe purple fig evolves with time in the glass. The palate has seamless weight and a silky, tight structure. Flavors of pomegranate, dried herbs de Provence, sandalwood, and red huckleberry mingle with a soft layer of warm, toasty oak, that remains present without overpowering the fruit. The finish is smooth and effortless now, but additional complexity and charm will reward your patience when you cellar for 20+ years.

The most elegant wine in the DeLille line up and a stand out year after year for Washington, for it's medium body, low alcohol and Old World character. Delille eeks every bit of ripeness they can out of these old vines, planted in 1962 they are the second oldest Cabernet vines in the state. The nose shows rose petal florals, clove spice and wild red fruits. The palate show a touch of austerity, with light spices, rooibos tea leaves and whisps of sea salt.

Behind the Wine
2023 Harrison Hill Red Blend
A Bordeaux-style blend from a small, historic vineyard on Snipes Mountain, this wine is labelled after the vineyard’s namesake – Harrison Hill. Over the past six decades, the state’s second oldest Cabernet vines have matured gracefully while producing progressively limited yields. This slow, elegant maturation is a compelling expression of what it means to be a terroir-driven wine.
Vineyards
Harrison Hill, a five-acre site in the Snipes Mountain AVA, still boasts a 1962 Cabernet Sauvignon planting by William Bridgman, a pioneer of planting European wine grapes in Washington State. These vines are the second oldest in the state, and the oldest used in commercial wine production.
Winemaking
Single Vineyard blend from Harrison Hill. Stainless steel fermented, 14-16 days on skins. Barrel aged 20 months in French oak (95% new). Bottle aged 10 months prior to release.
