2023 Red Blend
Yakima Valley AVA
Seattle Exclusive Release
The 2023 Red Blend for our Seattle location showcases quintessential Mourvèdre (59%) characteristics, leading with an earthy, brambly, moody, dark-fruited core and a uniquely Pacific Northwest garrigue. The addition of Grenache (30%) lightens the blend, contributing notes of delicate red fruits, including raspberry and pomegranate. Syrah (11%) brings a juicy quality and notes of black pepper and wild game. The pronounced gamey quality can be attributed to the combination of Syrah and Mourvèdre. On the palate, this wine is dense and round without feeling heavy. Sweet tannins complement the enticing medley of dark and savory notes.

The 2023 DeLille Seattle Limited Release Red Wine, Yakima Valley, is a striking, energy-driven Mourvèdre-dominant GSM blend exclusive to the producer's downtown restaurant. Bracing notes of white pepper and mountain-grown lavender define the initial profile, leading into a mid-palate rich with field-ripened black raspberries and dried sagebrush. The structural core provides a vibrant, high-toned tension where notes of bay leaf and marionberry collide with a distinct wisp of sandalwood. This bottling concludes with a long, savory-driven finish that underscores its Rhone-inspired complexity and depth.
