Unique to every vintage, the 2023 Reserve Red Blend features the debut of two new-to-DeLille blocks of Cabernet Franc in a balanced blend of Cabernet Franc (79%) and Merlot (21%). A vibrant bouquet reveals tobacco leaf, red currant, lavender flower and capsicum, followed by a concentrated savory core wrapped around inky, plush fruit. The mouth feel is silky from start to finish, and balanced with blueberry, green peppercorn, milk chocolate and crème de cassis. This new cuvee is full of personality now, and will only gain complexity over the next 15+ years.

The result is a showcase of standout vineyards and varietals that inspire their craft. For the 2023 vintage, our winemakers focused on Cabernet Franc (79%), with Merlot (21%) to support.
Vineyards
The 2023 Reserve Red Blend is sourced from five Columbia Valley vineyards: Olsen (29%), Champoux (25%), Red Willow (22%), Boushey (21%), and Harrison Hill (3%).
Winemaking
Stainless steel fermented, 12-14 days on skins—Barrel aged 20 months in French oak (49% new). Bottle aged 8 months prior to release. The blend selected for the 23 vintage is 79% Cabernet Franc 21% Merlot.
