2024 Red Willow Malbec

Yakima Valley AVA

The 2024 Red Willow Malbec is dark-fruited, dense and chocolatey. The nose has hints of scorched earth, mountain huckleberry, black currant and fresh espresso, and the slightly chewy tannins are felt broadly on the palate. There is a gravelly, mineral quality, framed by wild strawberry and dark plum flavors. Tightly-wound brambly fruits, bright red fruits and oak spice layer compellingly. This wine is very approachable in its youth and can be cellared 10+ years if desired.

Behind the Wine

2024 Red Willow Malbec

Our single-vineyard Malbec is crafted with fruit from one of our original and oldest partners, Red Willow Vineyard. Malbec, one of the five original Bordeaux-style blending varietals, famously thrives in many climates, showcasing characteristics unique to the place it is planted. The Malbec grapes grown on the Red Willow hillsides offer notes of leafy black fruits, blueberries and plum unique to the site, paired with plush, ripe tannins characteristic of Washington Malbec.
