2024 Reserve Grenache
Yakima Valley AVA
Our 2024 Reserve Grenache opens with bright cherry, raspberry and star anise notes on the nose. Red fruits dominate the profile with whispers of savory, herbal undertones providing lift and spice. The palate features flavors of red licorice, white pepper, and fig, with a fine-lined structure and acid-driven finish. The body is delicately plush, full of floral and umami nuances. This charmer will pair with a wide range of foods and surely show off its ability to cellar for 10+ years.

Life-affirming acidity guides the way as DeLille's Reserve Grenache opens with aromas of black and blueberries, orange zest, and a wee bit of loamy soil. The wine is made with fruit from the esteemed Boushey, Upland and Olsen vineyards, and that quality shows. After 14 months in neutral French oak, the Rainier cherry fruit flavor comes shining through, joined by flecks of mocha and sage. Like I said, juicy acidity meets silky tannins here.

Behind the Wine
2024 Reserve Grenache
Our Grenache is meticulously crafted to celebrate the art of blending and diversity of three of Washington's most esteemed vineyards: Upland, Boushey and Olsen. The result is a vibrant and complex expression of Washington State Grenache: a delicious red wine showcasing red fruits, especially raspberry, with bright acidity and pretty floral notes.
Vineyards
Upland Vineyard is a perfectly steep, south-facing slope on the back side of Snipes Mountain managed by one of DeLille’s longest-standing vineyard partners, Todd Newhouse.
Winemaking
Stainless steel fermented, 10-12 days on skins. ~9% whole cluster fermentation (UPGR). Barrel aged 14 months in neutral French oak (some large format).
