The deep aromas consist of blueberries, cassis, blackberries, juicy purple grapes, graham cracker, roasted meats, pastry spices, rosemary bush, mole chocolate and lilacs. On the palate there is a beautiful combination of red and dark fruits like marion berries, pomegranates, currants and cassis along with vanilla and wood smoke. A mouthwatering, savory style that defines the 2010 vintage and is also reminiscent of the very best earlier Chaleur Estate vintages, a long lasting wine of 15 years or more.
