One hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from our long-standing block at Klipsun Vineyard, 2017 Lot 3 presents a nose filled with gravel and crushed rocks to complement red and blue fruit aromas of pomegranate, currants and fresh plums. Juicy and bold on the palate, this concentrated and expressive wine delivers classic Red Mountain Herbes de Provence balanced by restrained black cherry and baking spice flavors. Absolutely colossal in both fruit and tannin, this beauty builds relentlessly on the palate. Barrel selected and extremely limited in production, this gem will reward patience in the cellar.

The 2017 ‘Lot 3’ Cabernet Sauvignon is a gorgeous new effort with serious aging potential. Sourced from Red Mountain, once on the nose this shows high toned potpourri and mocha that mingle with blueberry compote and sagebrush on this evocative nose. The palate is silky smooth with incredible verve and elegance. Obviously concentrated, the weightless feeling really makes this tick. Gorgeous violets and blackberry compete flavors mingle with milk chocolate and sagebrush tones with hints of blueberry pie on the palate. The range here is sensational as this outstanding new wine will enjoy another twenty years of life ahead of it. Drink 2022-2040

Over the last 25 years, we have occasionally created a wine in the cellar with unique and exceptional attributes, where the quantity is so limited there isn’t enough to offer all of our customers. This exclusive offering continues the tradition of showcasing a Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon as a rare offering for our wine club members. Since 1992, DeLille Cellars has been devoted to the excellence and distinct character of the Red Mountain AVA. On these venerable slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon is nurtured beneath the warmth of the Eastern Washington sun and produces wines of striking depth and remarkable structure. In this excellent vintage, barrels were carefully selected to showcase the exceptional power and ripeness of Cabernet Sauvignon from Klipsun, a vineyard that consistently cultivates formidable wines with uniquely compelling depth of fruit.

Established in 1984 and located on the Southwest slope of Red Mountain, Klipsun remains one of the Washington’s most reputable vineyards. Klipsun vineyard has deeper soils, resulting in very rich and ripe fruit creating concentrated wines with plum and brandy nuances.



Cold soaked for 24-36 hours and fermented on skin 12-14 days. Half of the lot went through extended macerated for 8-10 weeks before blending and aging for 20 months in 100% new French oak.
