2021 Grand Ciel Syrah

Our 2021 Grand Ciel Syrah has an enticing array of aromas: smoked meats, black pepper, pluot, and marionberry waft from the glass. This single clone Syrah has a core of dark fruits, with notes of sanguine and toasted cumin seed. Highlights of raspberry and violets provide lift and freshness and beautifully frame the denser, darker flavors. Poised tannins gently support the juicy mid-palate and lead the way to a dreamy finish that elevates this wine to another level. Enjoy now or confidently cellar for 12+ years.

Perfume and spices from new French barrels fill the aroma of this beautifully broad and deep wine before black cherry, dried blueberry and blackberry jam flavors coat the palate. Dark chocolate, espresso and deep smoky accents continue to reveal in the finish. Drinkable now; best from 2028.

Every detail of our vineyard has been designed to produce the highest quality fruit from the unique climate & soil of this prestigious AVA known for ripe & structured fruit. Our rigorous selection process only permits a small portion of grapes to become part of Grand Ciel.
