2023 Rosé

Our Rosé is a traditional blend of Grenache (46%), Mourvèdre (48%) and Cinsaut (6%). While Grenache provides plentiful juicy red berries, the salmon-pink hue and wild (sauvage) character remain the hallmarks of the Mourvèdre grape. Incorporating a subtle touch of Cinsaut adds a savory watermelon nuance. This is a balanced style of rosé that retains crisp acidity. It is a wine that begs to be chilled and enjoyed al fresco, keeping in mind that some folks credit France as the place where the word ‘picnic’ originated!

This 2023 DeLille Cellars Rose is a complex blend of near equal parts Grenache and Mourvèdre and a touch of Cinsault. Wild mushroom and pretty red florals mark the nose alongside red cherry candy and strawberry notes. The palate is beautifully textured and fresh with good length and depth. Melon and ripe red fruits combine with stony minerals and damp earth accents on the palate. Drink 2024-2031

Pairing Suggestion

Tuna Niçoise Salad — Fresh seafood is an incredible pairing for rosé including grilled salmon, fried calamari, shellfish and seared tuna.

Behind the Wine

2023 Rosé

True to our old-world approach, this blend is crafted in the traditional Bandol style of Southern France. The fruit is specifically selected to be a part of this blend long before harvest, & our methods are intentional – making it what we call an “honest” Rosé. This is a balanced style of Rosé that retains crisp acidity & begs to be served al fresco.
