2016 Chaleur Estate: The Red Mountain origins of this wine are reflected on the nose with lavender, cassis and dried earth. Firmly structured throughout, showing flavors of tapenade with blue and black berries, this vintage promises to age well in the cellar.
2017 Chaleur Estate: Highly aromatic on the nose, with floral lavender, cassis, and cedar complemented by dark chocolate, spice and lead pencil. In contrast to such an elegant nose, the palate is extremely robust and concentrated, with great energy and an explosive entry filled with cherry and blackberry.
2019 Chaleur Estate: The foundation of old vine Cabernet Sauvignon provides an intense, deep richness. Creme de cassis, marionberry, leather and clove meld to create the initial perfume. The Merlot brings even more opulence and roundness to the blend, while adding notes of lingonberry, bay leaf and mocha. Cabernet Franc adds spice and freshness, while the Petit Verdot offers an ambrosial lift.
2020 Chaleur Estate: Firm, fresh and floral with notions of elegant red berries and oak tones on the nose. Full-bodied, tight and focused, the palate offers a clean frame of picturesque cherries and red plums while exuding finesse and precision. Balanced, complex and lively, the wine continues to evolve over the long-lingering, food-friendly finish.
2021 Chaleur Estate:The tannins are ripe and full and accompanied by flavors of marionberry compote, iodine, cedar, and olive tapenade. The layers of dense dark fruits, savory barrel and baking spices and polished full tannins are interwoven beautifully.
