2022 Le Petit Doux

Late Harvest Sémillon
Our 2022 Le Petit Doux opens with a bouquet of yellow peach, nectarine, quince and white flowers.  The higher residual sugar of this style creates a creamy, honey-like palate that is rich, yet delicate.  Elevated acid levels are layered nicely in the background, with a purity and sense of freshness, combining with all the concentration and weight.  This is quite enjoyable now, especially with your favorite soft cheese, but cellaring several years would be a wise decision, in order to experience the subtleties that will surely develop.

A later harvest dessert wine based on 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2022 Le Petit Doux has a ripe, sweetly fruited, medium-bodied style offering a great nose of honeyed limes, peach, and a kiss of chalky minerality. It’s balanced, has good acidity, and a clean finish. It’s an outstanding dessert wine to enjoy over the coming 4-6 years or more.
