DeLille Cellars Hires Senior Director of Hospitality and Consumer Sales

DeLille Cellars’ new Senior Director of Hospitality and Consumer Sales, Lisa Clarkson

DeLille Cellars, one of Woodinville’s founding wineries and a pioneer of Bordeaux-style blends in Washington State, has hired Lisa Clarkson as Senior Director of Hospitality and Consumer Sales. Lisa will oversee and lead all retail, restaurant, and event activities for DeLille. The addition of Clarkson boosts DeLille’s efforts to create world-class hospitality after successfully opening a new winery and tasting room in 2019 and a restaurant in 2021.

“Lisa is a very thoughtful and strategic leader with great attention to detail,” said CEO Tom Dugan. “We’re excited to have her on our leadership team to help elevate our overall operation and customer experiences in the pursuit of being the most loved wine company in Washington State.”

Lisa comes to DeLille from Precept Wine, where she was Senior Vice President of Retail Operations and E-Commerce Fulfillment (previously VP of Retail and Hospitality Operations), overseeing multiple tasting rooms and wine clubs across four states, including culinary programs and event operations. Prior to Precept, Lisa had an extensive background in Seattle’s coffee industry, holding management roles at Tully’s and Starbucks.

I am thrilled to be joining DeLille Cellars and excited about contributing to the company’s continued success,” said Clarkson. “DeLille has done such an amazing job of growing the brand and reinventing the guest experience at the Old Redhook Brewery while never losing sight of its legacy and commitment to quality.  I look forward to working with the team to introduce the DeLille story and wine to new guests as we also create new ways to provide meaningful experiences for our return guests and valued club members.”

Lisa was born in Kansas City, Missouri, living in Denver and Boise before settling in the Seattle area. She’s an avid sports fan, particularly basketball and softball, which are sports she also loves to coach. During her time in the coffee industry, wine came up frequently as a means of helping customers choose what kind of coffee they might enjoy. After learning a great deal about wine from customers and becoming more interested in it, she made a natural transition into the wine industry.

Clarkson’s hiring follows DeLille’s recent remodel of the iconic former Redhook Brewery in Woodinville, including the construction of a new three-story tasting room and the opening of a restaurant, The Lounge at DeLille Cellars, to further DeLille’s goal of highlighting world-class Washington wine and the company’s 30-year legacy of excellence. DeLille is now the oldest operating winery in Woodinville, and its present-day portfolio consists of over 20 wines, a handful of which are nationally and internationally distributed.
